<p>This proposal seeks to introduce liquidity incentives for two trading pairs on Acala Swap: ACA-USDT and LDOT-USDT. The goal is to incentivize liquidity provision and increase the overall trading volume and ecosystem activity for these pairs. By providing liquidity incentives, we aim to attract more liquidity providers and foster a more vibrant and efficient decentralized exchange (DEX) ecosystem on Acala.</p>
<h1><a name="p-4824-incentive-pool-2" class="anchor" href="#p-4824-incentive-pool-2"></a>Incentive Pool</h1>
<p>We propose the creation of liquidity incentive pools for the following pairs:</p>
<ol>
<li>ACA-USDT</li>
</ol>
<p>This pair will receive 500,000 ACA tokens as liquidity rewards for 1 month.</p>
<p>USDT Source: The USDT used in the ACA-USDT liquidity pools will be sourced from the native Polkadot-based USDT token, which is fully integrated into the Polkadot ecosystem. This ensures a seamless experience for users within the Polkadot network and maintains a high level of stability and trust for those who participate in liquidity provision.</p>
<h2><a name="p-4824-liquidity-incentive-details-3" class="anchor" href="#p-4824-liquidity-incentive-details-3"></a>Liquidity Incentive Details</h2>
<ul>
<li>Total ACA Tokens Allocated: 500,000 ACA tokens for ACA-USDT pools.</li>
<li>Incentive Duration: 1 month (30 days).</li>
<li>Target Annual Percentage Rate (APR):
<ul>
<li>ACA-USDT: 10% to 16% APR</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p>The APR ranges reflect the expected liquidity and participation in the pools. The incentives adjust dynamically based on the overall liquidity provided.</p>
<h2><a name="p-4824-expected-liquidity-projections-4" class="anchor" href="#p-4824-expected-liquidity-projections-4"></a>Expected Liquidity Projections</h2>
<p>Based on the target APRs and total ACA token allocation, we can estimate the expected liquidity for each pool. For a 1-month incentive period, we can calculate as follows:</p>

<li>ACA-USDT Pool:</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>ACA Tokens Allocated: 500,000 ACA</li>
<li>Target APR: 13% (the average of the range 10%-16%)</li>
<li>Expected Liquidity Target: ~ 2.8M USDT</li>
</ul>
<p>These liquidity estimates are based on the APR and the total rewards allocated. The actual liquidity may vary depending on the real participation of liquidity providers, but these calculations provide a good benchmark for what we expect to achieve during the incentive period.</p>
<h1><a name="p-4824-objective-5" class="anchor" href="#p-4824-objective-5"></a>Objective</h1>
<p>The primary objective of this incentive program is to encourage more liquidity providers to participate in the ACA-USDT pools. This initiative will:</p>
<ol>
<li>Increase liquidity for both pairs, making it easier for users to trade these assets with minimal slippage.</li>
<li>Drive more users and liquidity providers to Acala Swap, enhancing the liquidity depth and improving the platform’s overall performance.</li>
<li>This will attract more attention and usage to Acala’s DeFi ecosystem, strengthening the network’s position in the broader Polkadot ecosystem.</li>
</ol>
<h2><a name="p-4824-reward-distribution-6" class="anchor" href="#p-4824-reward-distribution-6"></a>Reward Distribution</h2>
<p>The 500,000 ACA tokens allocated to each pool will be distributed as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>ACA-USDT Pool: 500,000 ACA tokens will be distributed to liquidity providers in proportion to their share of the total liquidity in the ACA-USDT pool.</li>
</ul>

<p>This proposal is being presented to the Acala community for approval and will be submitted to the Acala governance forum for discussion and voting. The implementation will follow the community’s consensus to ensure the proposal aligns with the long-term vision of Acala’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.</p>

Voting - Update incentives for ACA Staking

1. There was an exploit on Starlay, a lending/borrowing protocol on Acala EVM, where around 2.2M$ in DOT and LDOT were stolen.
2. The affected users requested compensation for their loss, and Starlay proposed a significant compensation in ASTR tokens which covered between 20 and 30% of the loss.
3. Acala helped Starlay in finding solutions and unilaterally sent some DOTs to affected users, covering an additional 5% of the loss.
4. The affected users would like to submit a vote to Acala governance for additional compensation, and they requested 150k$ in ACA from Acala treasury as a final compensation.
5. The funds will be transferred to a multisig account between a well-known figure of the dotsama community and a representative of the affected users, and the transfer will be made to all affected users in proportion to their loss if the treasury proposal is approved.
